Welcome to Abseil Scotland - our site is under construction but meantime you can find out some basic information on our launch jump in Dundee on December 15th at University Tower

Abseil Scotland are holding a charity abseil on the 15th December this year at University Tower, Dundee to raise funds for Combat Stress and the Black Watch Association. You do not need to jump/abseil to help - you can sponsor one of our brave 'jumpers'!

Both registered charities carry out immensely important work on behalf of armed forces veterans.

Combat Stress offers short stay remedial treatment at three specialist short-stay Treatment Centres in Shropshire, Surrey and Ayrshire. These provide a range of treatments including psychiatric support and occupational therapy to help veterans rebuild their lives and provide a break for the families of traumatised veterans.I am sure you agree both are very worthwhile causes. http//www.combatstress.org.uk

The Black Watch association provides support in many areas and we are raising funds to help them with a restoration project of the Black Watch monument at Powrie Brae just outside Dundee. The monument is in great need of restoration/cleaning as is some of the stonework surrounding the area.

First Minister Alex Salmond is opening the event and supporting it on the day and already we have some MPs participating and doing the jump themselves.

We are also looking for people to take part in the event and need 70 people to undertake an abseil on the day so any volunteers that would like to take part should contact Anne at info@abseilscotland.co.uk
or call our office on 01828 898014 or mobile on 07540 412770 for further information.

You can also sponsor us by emailing a pledge or sending a cheque made out to the charity of your choice Combat Stress or The Black Watch Association.

Even better you could take a sponsor form and get your friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor the abseil too. Contact Us to be sent a form
